Knowing Jesus as Savior: A Study on the Gospel of Luke

In Jesus’ final words before His ascension, He said “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations . . . and you were witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:46-48). The book of Luke is a compilation of first-person accounts of Jesus’ life in order to share the good news of salvation to the nations. In this ten-week study, we will look verse by verse, story by story at Jesus’ life and teachings and come to the angel’s conclusion, this is “good tidings of great joy” to be shared with all people (Luke 2:10). Our time together will include small group discussion to practically apply God’s Word and encouragement to stay faithful in Bible study and Scripture memorization.

Starting June 11 this summer, join us at a different park every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for fun and encouraging conversation. Pack a picnic lunch, invite a friend, and watch the kids play together while we get to know other moms better.
